COMPOSITION

Each capsule contains:
Waterless iron sulphate 150 mg;
Folic acid (vitamin B9) 0.5 mg;
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 50 mg;
Thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1) 2 mg;
Riboflavine (vitamin B2) 2 mg;
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 1 mg;
Nicotinamide (vitamin PP) 10 mg;
Zinc (as sulphate) 5 mg.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

- Treatment and precautions of asiderotic anemia;
- Latent iron deficite;
- Anemias, caused by different influences (surgical operation, ionizing radiation, long hemodialysis etc.)
- Pregnancy and breast-feeding;
- Intensive physical activity;
- Hypo and beriberi.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Hypersensitivity to preparation components;
- Anemias not caused by iron deficit (aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia, siderohrestic anemia, lead anemia, megaloblastic anemia, caused by isolated deficit of vitamin B12 or folic acid);
- Hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis;
- Liver impairment.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

From digestive system side: constipations or diarrheas, nausea, gastric colic.
From CNS side: sleep disturbance, excitation, depression.
Allergic reactions: seldom observed – eczematous appearance, hives; in individual cases – anaphylactic shock, anaphylactoid reactions.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Preparation is taken orally directly during or after meals.
Patients with asiderotic anemia should take 1-2 capsules 2 times a day approximately during three months (it depends on difficulty of anemia).
Patients with latent iron deficit should take 1-2 capsules 1 time a day during 3-4 weeks.
Pregnant women from 14 pregnancy week should take 1 capsule once a day two weeks then make one week break and then repeat again (2 weeks of receiving, 1 week break) till the childbirth.
During breast-feeding period one capsule per day is prescribed.
During menstrual period: 1 capsule per day during two days before menstruation, during whole cycle and 2 days after it finishing. Whole duration of taking preparation, including menstruation days should not exceed 10 days.
People with intensive physical activity and with hypo and beriberi are recommended to use preparation
1-2 capsules per day. Precautions and therapy courses consist from 10 days.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Organic acid, calcium salts, phosphates, phytin, cholestiramin, and antacidic preparations, contain aluminium, magnesium and calcium break iron absorption because of insoluble complexes appearance.
Preparations contain pancreas ferments, can decrease iron absorption. In simultaneous application of phenobarbital, carbamazepine, valproate, sulfasalazone, hormone contraceptives, folic acid antagonists, trimethoprim, pyrimethamine, triamtherone therapy activeness of folic acid decreases.

6 hard gelatinous capsules in blister. 5 blisters with leaflet are packed in a carton box.
