Amlipin (Amlodipin - Lisinopril)
COMPOSITION
Each film coated tablet contains amlodipine (as
besilate) 5 mg, lisinopril (as dihydrate) 5 mg.
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
- Arterial hypertension;
- Ischemic heart disease (stable angina, Prinzmetal's angina);
- Chronic cardiac insufficiency (as a part of complex therapy);
- Diabetic nephropathy.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Increased sensitivity to any component of a
preparation or to other derivatives of dihydropyridine;
- Angioneurotic edema in the anamnesis, including connected with application of
others inhibitors APC;
- Hemodynamically significant stenosis of an aortic or mitral valve;
- The expressed arterial hypotension;
- Cardiogenic shock;
- Pregnancy and the period of a lactation;
- Children's age.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Side effects are usually poorly expressed and
have passing character, discontinuation of theatment is required in rare cases;
Most often meet: a headache, dry cough and dizziness;
Are possible: weakness, a diarrhea, a nausea, vomiting, orthostatic hypotension,
a skin itch, a skin rash, a hypostasis of foots' ankles, reddening of face skin,
a pain in breast;
Frequency of other side-effects is less than 1%;
At the increased sensitivity development of angioneurotic edema is possible.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Amlipin should be administered orally 1 tablet
once a day irrespective of meals. If necessary the daily dose can be increased
to 2 tablets.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Simultaneous reception with potassium-sparing
diuretic (spironolactone, amiloride, triamteren), potassium and potassium
containing means in order to prevent the development of hyperpotassemia demands
extra care, mainly, at the reduced function of kidneys. Prescribed after the
careful estimation of advantage and risk, conducting the regular control of
potassium level in blood and kidney function.
